Waldwick's school district consists of Waldwick High School, Waldwick Middle School and Traphagen Elementary School which received a the Blue Ribbon award in 2009 and Crescent Elementary School which received a top 10 rating on Zillow! The district uses cutting edge technology from Special Ed through Advanced Placement. Our graduating classes consist of approximately 120 students who mostly go on to respected four-year colleges. Waldwick competes annually in the Academic Decathalon and is home to the Wildcats Special Olympics Team! Waldwick Sports included Soccer, Football, Baseball, Lacrosse, Tennis and Track and Field. In June 2016 at the Waldwick Middle School’s inaugural STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) League Competition where 10 teams competed, Waldwick Middle School placed first.

 From Waldwick train station to Secaucus is just 50 minutes then onto NYC, Newark etc. The trains run about every 15 minutes during rush hour. In addition, we have a bus stop on Route 17 or there is a wonderful park and ride just down route 17. For access to Newark International Airport, it is just 35 minutes away.

Waldwick's state-of-the-art track and field is open to Waldwick residents on off-school hours.  Our Borough Park features age-specific top notch children's playset with handicap accessibility.  Waldwick sponsors a sanctioned 5K in the spring.  Hiking is just up the road at the Ramapo Reservation or birding at the Celery Farm or skiing at Campgaw. The Bergen County Zoo is just a short drive away.  During the summer, the town pool is available with reasonable family rates and concerts are held at the town Oval.  Spring/Summer offers trout-stocked fishing opportunities at the town's White's Pond.

There are plenty of great pizzerias and  restaurants in town, both formal and informal.  We have several bagel stores, dry cleaners, child care facilities, a florist, a medical center, beauty shops, a luncheonette and other special businesses.  Including an indoor tennis facility, a indoor soccer/sports field, doctors, lawyers and a local town Realtor.  As a municipality, we have our own police force, a volunteer fire department and excellent DPW services from leaf clean-up and snow removal to multiple garbage pick-ups a week. If you like shopping at the malls, we have easy access to Rte 17 to several large malls. Waldwick is also located less than three miles away from Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
